My Son Passed After Reaction To Antibiotics #GA
Heather’s son passed away in 2013 after a long and arduous fight for his health. Early on in his life, the boy was given “a very large dose of a very powerful antibiotic,” according to his mother. In this CHD Bus Stories video, Heather explains how this experience helped her see the prevalence of adverse reactions to various medical products. Her message to viewers is this: “At the core of the standard of care should be the relationship between the doctor and the patient. You have to have informed consent. You have to listen to your patient, and no one listened to my son.”
Lee’s daughter has a similar story. Within a week of using a particular drug, the 13-year-old girl went from being active to losing the ability to move and struggling with bad gut health. Lee and Heather now speak out on their children’s behalf, warning other parents about the risks to medicine.
