In Part 3 of #CHDTV’s ‘Dangerous Things Doctors Say,’ when Richard and Payton Picardi asked their baby’s doctor why they should give their son the vitamin K shot — that has a potential side effect of death — the doctor needed a day to research before telling them it was to prevent a 1 in 10,000 chance of a brain bleed.
In response to the doctor’s wild statistic, Richard informed him, “Well, I’m not going to risk death for a 1 in 10,000 chance of a random occurrence of a brain bleeding. It doesn’t make sense to me.”
